SFSC partners with to offer free behavioral health services to students. The can be utilized for free via email or phone, 24 hours a day, seven days a week by visiting BayCare’s , calling 800-878-5470, or emailing BayCareSAP@baycare.org.ÌýÌý


The at SFSC helps students and the community with job searches and preparation. is available through the Career Development Center. It offers gently used interview and office attire to SFSC students and alumni for free. It is housed on the Highlands Campus, has a large range of sizes and styles for men and women, and inventory changes constantly.

CareerSource Heartland provides the support and funding for adults who are 18 and older and want to expand their skillset and knowledge to align with the evolving needs of the local job market. They offer career training, scholarships, and financial assistance for supplies, books, uniforms, and other fees. CareerSource Heartland prepares residents of DeSoto, Hardee, and Highlands counties for high-skill, high-wage, and in-demand industry occupations.

The helps migrant and seasonal farmworkers and their dependents realize greater economic stability through career services, training services, youth services, and related assistance. By participating in this program, migrant and seasonal farmworkers can achieve economic self-sufficiency, better pay, and a stable employment future. The Farmworker Career Development Program is free to those who meet the criteria.Ìý


The offers a variety of free or low cost services for SFSC students at every campus location. The Library also hosts free-to-attend events throughout the year which can include workshops, celebrations, and colloquiums.

Pete’s Pantry is a food, health, and hygiene item pantry that is available for free to the students, staff, and faculty of SFSC. The Pantry is located on the Highlands Campus in Building B, Room 167B. Use of the Pantry is confidential and items can be sent to other campuses for those in need. No matter what the assignment, campus, or skill level, the TLC offers the support you need to excel in your courses.Ìý

At the DeSoto Campus, The Tutoring Pod is a special corner of the library that is dedicated to students for Zoom tutoring with the tutors from the Academic Center for Excellence (ACE). A widescreen monitor, webcam, and microphone are set up and headphones are available upon request. Students can receive virtual tutoring in writing, math, and Anatomy and Physiology. A QR code is ready to be scanned at The Tutoring Pod, which leads students directly to the for scheduling.
