Executive MBA in Software Engineering Program Overview
NEC’s Executive MBA in Software Engineering offers core MBA courses alongside specialized software engineering classes for aspiring and established software engineering and technology leaders alike.
The program’s four concentration courses coupled with management courses provide students with a comprehensive foundation in software engineering, emphasizing the intersection of technical knowledge and business strategy. The curriculum prepares graduates to lead software development initiatives, make informed technology decisions, and communicate effectively with technical teams while maintaining a focus on business outcomes and organizational success.
This 40-credit program can be finished in fewer than two years.

Attendance Policy
In-person attendance on campus in New Hampshire is mandatory for the residency weekend sessions. These sessions are an exciting and valuable component to the curriculum and provide extensive networking opportunities.
Pre-Requisites
- This executive-level program requires a completed master’s degree from a U.S.-accredited institution or three years of relevant work experience, along with a bachelor’s degree.
- You must be eligible for an internship/job in the U.S.

Additional Information
A virtual orientation session to cover immigration issues, academics, login processes, and billing and payments and to provide an opportunity to meet the faculty and staff of NEC will take place a week before the term starts. Admitted students will receive the link to access the orientation session.
An internship for one credit is a required component of this program. Internship is an integral part of the executive program.
Students must take at least seven credits per semester to be considered full time.
